Ensuring you’re delivering the best possible care to your patients, whilst also creating a great work environment for your team is an ongoing job and a balancing act. Our new Quality Improvement (QI) Essentials course will provide you with an introduction to the tools, techniques, and behaviours you’ll need to undertake an effective quality improvement project in your practice. 

Using insights from current research in the veterinary profession, we combine QI methodology expertise with patient safety, leadership and team dynamics know-how to take a people-first approach to quality improvements, ensuring any initiatives will be lasting and impact what matters most to your teams.

Is this course for me?

This course is suitable for any veterinary surgeon, veterinary nurse or Practice Manager who are involved in delivering or measuring quality improvement, clinical governance, or practice standards.

What will I learn?

  • How to convert your concerns into achievable quality improvement goals
  • Essential QI methods for delivering and measuring care processes in your practice
  • How to feel more confident and empowered to lead change
  • Understand the importance of engaging the whole team, communicating effectively about change, and ensuring changes made matter to those doing the work.

What can I expect?

  • Three online sessions, 9am - 12pm (Thursday 14th November, Thursday 21st November and Thursday 28th November )
  • Practical exercises to take back to practice
  • 9 hours CPD
