Designed and led by experience trainers, based on PhD research into veterinary patient safety, team communication and quality improvement, and informed by insights from VDS claims and VetSafe data, the programme focuses on real behavioural change and delivering sustained results. What will I learn?
Over the 5-month programme, you’ll master the following:
QI Tools and Techniques: Develop the skills to identify, plan, and implement quality improvement projects, gaining practical insights into driving positive change in your practice.
Relationship Building and Culture Change: Cultivate the essential interpersonal skills needed to navigate the human side of practice, ensuring that change is not only effective but embraced by your team.
Systems-Thinking Fundamentals: Grasp the core concepts of systems-thinking, understanding and monitoring how systems perform to drive overall improvement in your practice.
Design for Systems Improvement: Utilise the SEIPS framework to design and implement effective interventions, mapping people processes, and planning actions and tasks for sustainable change.
Leadership for QI: Gain insights into psychological safety, inclusive leadership behaviours, and their connection to improvement work. Use stakeholder matrices to plan communication and relationship activities, fostering a collaborative approach to change.
