Day 2 - Communications Challenges for Overseas Graduates - Wednesday 30 October 2019

This day, run by VDS Training, uses experienced facilitators and simulated clients (played by educational role players) to provide a unique and interactive learning experience for delegates. By recreating situations you have found challenging or creating situations you fear, we will give you specific communication tools to deal with them effectively in the future.

This day is £150 + VAT to attend.

Key Learning Objectives

Both days will help you with:

  • Confidence in communicating with clients not in your native tongue
  • Understanding some of the specific cultural challenges you may face while working here
  • Information regarding your obligations around Continuing Professional Development
  • The legislation and regulations that apply when working in the UK
  • Dealing effectively and confidently with angry and rude clients
  • Comforting clients who are upset, crying or distressed
  • Getting clients on board with your treatment plan and costs.

Who is it for?

Both days are suitable for vets and veterinary nurses who are contemplating working in practice in the UK or who have recently started working here.

Please note: Either day can be attended as a single day course.
